The SpongeBob Musical

The SpongeBob Musical is one of eight shows that I was the properties designer for Weston Drama Workshop’s summer 2021 season. I met and collaborated with the directors of each show in order to find out their needs and design concepts for the show. I also met with the scenic designer so that we could connect the worlds that each of the plays were in to the props. I then planned, budgeted, bought, pulled or built all the props for all eight shows. SpongeBob was one of the most fun shows I worked on because the design focused on bright colors and found objects from under the sea to create things that are different from their intended uses.
